The week is halfway done, thank goodness! I don’t know about you but the weekend cannot come soon enough!
FILL YOUR BODY WITH HEALTHY FOODS TODAY!
Today I challenge you to fuel your body with clean, healthy nutrients! You are your own longest commitment, so you better be treating yourself right.
Not everyone can get to the gym every day or get exercise in with their busy schedule, but with some thought and planning, healthy eating is a great way to take proper care of yourself right from the comfort of your own home.
Think…you can eat a bowl of raspberries or greek yogurt for dessert tonight OR you can have a slice of cake or cookies. It’s all about making the smart and right choices. Will raspberries/greek yogurt or cake/cookies make you feel better about yourself? Give you more energy? Give you vitamins & nutrients?
That doesn’t mean you cannot have a slice of cake at a party or cookies when you’re having a craving, but when you create a healthy lifestyle full of smart and healthy habits, the decisions become much easier. You end up wanting to fill your body with the healthy stuff, rather than the junk food! That’s the goal- a healthy lifestyle with some cheat meals/snacks here and there!
Some healthy alternatives to sweets that have been helpful to me are below!
1. Halo Top Ice Cream: Ummmm…this is pretty much the best thing ever made. Low calorie, amazing ice cream! I think my favorite so far is the Sea Salt Caramel flavor! It is only 280 calories for the whole pint.
2. Strawberries with the low fat Cool Whip: A little sweet & creamy
3. Jello (can add some Cool Whip there as well)
4. Fiber One Baked Bars: They’re only 90 calories and come in various flavors. There are coffee cake, brownies, chocolate chop cookie, lemon bars, etc. They’re a great snack to satisfy the sweet tooth and can be added to greek yogurt!
The choice is yours.
